NORY Summer Camps – An innovator’s playground
Maybe it’s because we love all things tech, kids annnnd entrepreneurship…but NORY summer camps sound pretty cool! Programs take place across different sites in New York City. Campers choose from a variety of themes that include robotics and entrepreneurship. Three core, “Signature Programs” are offered that cover STEM, Entrepreneurship and (coming soon) Empathy. The programs are designed for PreK-6th grade students (ages: 3-12yrs). Campers receive complementary lunch service, while a shuttle bus should be helpful for some families.
Programs at NORY do span the full summer timeframe (~9 weeks). So, pricing reflects that dynamic. Additionally, pricing varies depending on whether you choose a half-day or full-day program. Important to note that as you book more weeks, bigger discounts are available.
What We Like About It
Combining engineering and sports activities is a great mix, particularly for the younger kids and NORY offers just that for summer participants! For campers based in New York City (downtown, Midtown, upper west side) looking for STEM camp options, NORY is worth a look.
The curriculum appears pretty compared to other STEM-focused summer camp options. Entrepreneur-focused camps we’ve seen generally cater to older campers, or high school kids. So, if your child (5-10yrs) has had fun running lemonade stands or shown an interest to better understand things like market research, problem solving and execution, this will definitely be worth a closer look.
